Android app in development

MyDevice for Android

We are building a native Android app for users who want deeper device, hardware, network, battery, sensor, and privacy insight than a browser can expose.

The Android app is currently in development. This page describes planned capabilities and the product direction before release.

Planned Android features

Hardware dashboard

CPU, GPU, memory, storage, display, camera, Bluetooth, device model, manufacturer, Android version, kernel, build, and security patch summaries where available.

Battery and charging diagnostics

Battery level, health, temperature, voltage, current, charging state, estimated capacity where available, and practical warnings for suspicious readings.

Network and connectivity

Wi-Fi and mobile network status, public IP lookup, VPN/proxy hints, latency checks, connection quality, and readable explanations for troubleshooting.

Sensors and live charts

Accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, proximity, light, barometer, orientation, and other available sensor values with simple live visualizations.

Apps and permissions insight

A user-friendly overview of installed app metadata and permission surfaces where Android allows access, designed to explain risk without alarmism.

Export and compare

Copy, share, or export a device report, then compare readings after OS updates, repairs, battery changes, or network changes.

Inspired by mature Android utilities

Popular Android tools such as DevCheck and AIDA64 commonly organize information into system, CPU, GPU, RAM, display, camera, storage, battery, network, sensors, installed apps, and operating system sections. MyDevice for Android will use similar proven categories, while adding clearer explanations and privacy-oriented context for each reading.

Why an Android app can go deeper than the website

A browser can only access Web APIs. A native Android app can often read more device-specific information through Android system APIs, hardware sensors, battery interfaces, and permission-gated resources. Exact access still depends on Android version, manufacturer restrictions, device model, and permissions granted by the user.
