MyDevice.info
iOS app in development

MyDevice for iPhone and iPad

We are building a native iOS companion for MyDevice.info. The goal is to make device information, privacy checks, network diagnostics, battery insight, sensors, and guided troubleshooting easier to understand than a raw system dump.

The app is not available on the App Store yet. This page describes the planned direction while development is in progress.

Planned iOS features

Device overview

Model family, iOS version, display details, storage summary, memory signals available to iOS apps, and a clean dashboard for quick checks.

Battery and charging insight

Battery level, charging state, low power mode context, and practical explanations of what the numbers can and cannot prove.

Network diagnostics

Wi-Fi or cellular connection summary where available, public IP lookup, VPN/proxy hints, latency checks, and readable troubleshooting notes.

Sensor tools

Accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, barometer, orientation, vibration, audio input, and camera-related checks when iOS permissions allow them.

Privacy and permissions center

A simple view of important permissions such as location, camera, microphone, Bluetooth, notifications, and how each permission affects diagnostics.

Guided explanations

Instead of only showing raw values, the app will explain example results and help users understand whether a value is normal, limited by iOS, or worth investigating.

Inspired by mature device information apps

Popular mobile utilities commonly include CPU, memory, storage, battery, thermals, network, camera, display, Bluetooth, and sensor sections. Some iOS apps also include widgets, device comparison tools, screen tests, audio tests, NFC tools, and Apple Watch companion features. MyDevice for iOS will use that proven category structure, but with a stronger focus on privacy education and plain-language explanations.

What iOS may limit

iOS protects many hardware and system details. Some values available on Android or desktop browsers may be unavailable, rounded, or permission-gated on iPhone and iPad. The app will label those limitations clearly instead of pretending to know data that the operating system does not expose.
